The Robaina family has been growing tobacco since 1845 in its remarkable vega located in Cuchillas de Barbacoa near San Luis in the heart of Vuelta Abajo. The brand was launched in 1997 as a tribute to Don Alejandro Robaina - the family patriarch who celebrated his 88th birthday on March 20, 2007 - and whose portrait appears on the brand's boxes. Robaina brand cigars are light to medium bodied.
