Monte Cristo

Montecristo is, without a doubt, the most famous and universally loved brand of Habanos. Many connoisseurs refer to its vitolas to judge other Havana cigars. The brand owes its name to the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas "The Count of Montecristo" which was very popular at the time with Havana rollers. The brand was registered in 1935 by the Menéndez y Garcia associates. The vitolas were made at H. Upmann, property of Menéndez y Garcia. Modules 1 to 5 have existed since 1935. The Joyitas and the Especial were added to the range in 1969. It was in 1971 that the exceptional module, the Montecristo "A", was introduced. Montecristo brand cigars in terms of strength of taste are medium to strong.
